Daniel Groß

A major focus of Daniel Groß's research is the interaction between humans and the environment. Central to his current projects are wetland archaeology and the Mesolithic on the North European lowlands. The special preservation conditions in this area, especially due to the extensive wetlands, allow exceptionally good reconstructions of the prehistoric environment. The research methods and questions used by Daniel Groß are correspondingly wide-ranging. In addition to artefact-related studies, he is dealing with landscape archaeology, palaeoecology, and methodology.
